Senator Stabenow Honors Michigan Veterans Visiting World War II Memorial in Washington, DC
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow today welcomed 77 Michigan World War II veterans who traveled from Michigan's Upper Peninsula to visit the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C. The veterans were flown in on Upper Peninsula Honor Flight Mission III by the Honor Flight Network with donations from local Michigan communities. Stabenow greeted the veterans at the memorial and presented them with certificates honoring their service. -
Senator Stabenow Announces Support for Michigan Law Enforcement
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, today announced rural development grants for three Michigan law enforcement departments to replace their aging patrol vehicles. Grants were awarded to the Lake County Sheriff's Department, the city of Norway Police Department, and the Presque Isle Sheriff's Department. -
Agriculture Chairwoman Stabenow Announces Rural Development Grant for Munising Memorial Hospital
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, today announced a Rural Development grant for the Munising Memorial Hospital. The grant, made available through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development initiative, will be used to purchase and install Digital Mammography equipment at Munising Memorial Hospital to increase its capacity to serve the local community.
