Healthcare Professional Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP)

It pays to be in the Army Medical Department.

Healthcare professionals in the Army Medical and Dental Corps can receive loan repayment assistance—up to $240,000 for certain specialties ($40,000 per year, with a $240,000 lifetime cap).

The following requirements apply:

  • You must be a member of the National Guard.
  • The loans must be directly related to licensure in your medical/health field.
  • You must be qualified in the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) you choose.

Physician assistants, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, social workers and clinical psychologists may qualify for loan repayments up to $25,000 per year ($75,000 lifetime cap).
