ANNOTATION: The impact of job involvement on the work of correctional staff is examined. This article is an important addition to the research on correctional officer job satisfaction since the area of job participation has been little studied. It seems that “job involvement had a statistically significant positive relationship with job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and both forms of work-family conflict. Job involvement was observed to have non-significant direct effects on correctional staff job stress, life satisfaction, and turnover intentions” (p. 57).
