DoDEA Regulations Regarding School Based Research

All individuals who wish to conduct research involving DoDEA students, parents, or staff must submit a request for research packet. The five required forms as well as instructions for completing the forms can be found at the links below. Each request will be reviewed by a committee who will determine if the proposed research is compatible with DoDEA curriculum, aligns with the benchmarks of the DoDEA Community Strategic Plan, and does not unduly interfere with classroom instruction. Reviewers will also examine the study to determine if the proposed sample and methodology are appropriate to answer the research questions. Along with the request packet, individuals must submit a copy of their Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and proof of completion of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).
