The National Map Users Conference and USGS GIS Workshop

When: May 10 - 13, 2011

Where: GIS Workshop will be held at the USGS National Training Center, located at the Denver Federal Center (DFC), Lakewood, Colorado.

           The National Map Users Conference will be held at the Denver Marriott West, in Golden, Colorado.

           NOTE: If you would like to attend both events, you must register for each event separately.

GIS Workshop Registration

• The USGS GIS Workshop will be held May 10 - 11 at the USGS National Training Center in Building 53 of the Denver Federal Center. All who enter the DFC must stop and show identification, (i.e., government ID or a valid driver's license is required and current vehicle registration may be requested) to enter.

• The fee for this event is $350.00. Instructors/presenters must register. Registration fees will be waived for instructors of hands-on sessions and full-session training seminars but not for other presenters.
• A hospitality fee of $30 is requested to supplement the snacks at the evening GIS Olympics and Poster Session. This must be personal funds; only cash or checks will be accepted. (If you will be attending both the GIS Workshop and The National Map Users Conference, the requested hospitality fee is $50.)
• Capacity is limited. Because this is a USGS training course, registration priority will be given to USGS employees and course instructors/presenters. A secondary priority will be given to those with active cooperative agreements with USGS.
• Capacity is limited. Open slots will be granted on a first come, first served basis with the priority stated above.
• A block of rooms have been reserved at the Denver Marriott West in Golden, Colorado, approximately four miles from the DFC.
  Rooms are offered at $129 per night.
  When making Hotel reservations, indicate you are part of the "USGS The National Map Users Conference and GIS Workshop".

• The Hotel will provide a daily shuttle to and from the DFC for the Workshop. Specific times and pickup locations will be made available at the hotel when you arrive.
• Airport Shuttle: The Hotel has arranged for a shuttle service to and from Denver Airport.
• Workshop registration will end at the close of business on April 26, and confirmation will be e-mailed not later than May 2.

The National Map Users Conference Registration

• The National Map Users Conference will be held May 12 - 13 at the Denver Marriott West in Golden, Colorado
• There is no fee for this event.
• A hospitality fee of $30 is requested to supplement the snacks at the evening Poster Session and Awards Ceremony. This must be personal funds; only cash or checks will be accepted. (If you will be attending both the GIS Workshop and The National Map Users Conference, the requested hospitality fee is $50.)
• Capacity is limited. Attendance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
• A block of rooms have been reserved at the Denver Marriott West in Golden, Colorado, approximately four miles from the DFC.
  Rooms are offered at $129 per night.
  When making Hotel reservations, indicate you are part of the "USGS The National Map Users Conference and GIS Workshop".
