Welcome to Presidio of Monterey

The POM/OMC/DLI Exchange serves the following locations:

Ord Military Community is located on the site of the former Fort Ord. We often receive calls at the main Exchange located on the annex from folks asking if this is the old Fort Ord and are we still open. Even though the name has changed from Fort Ord to Ord Military Community, the Exchange continues to serve the best customers in the world at this location. In addition to the active duty military, we also serve over 35,000 retirees living within a 50 mile radius. The Monterey area is a popular tourist site and we often have retirees from around the country shopping in the PX. We invite all customers to shop our Exchange, Express, beauty/barber shop, laundry/cleaner/alteration shop, and laundromat.

Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLI) is located in Monterey CA. The Exchange operates a retail store, Military Clothing Store, Exchange Restaurant area, barber/beauty shop, laundry/dry cleaning, alterations shop, gas station, two snack bars, plus other concession/vending activities to serve the needs of the language students and other authorized customers. We have the opportunity to serve all branches of the military due to the unique mission of the Defense Language Institute.
