LETTER FROM THE MANAGER
Common Orris
General Manager
Charleston AFB
Charleston AFB is located in the heart of the Lowcountry - the portion of South Carolina where pine and oak forests meet with the natural beauty of Intercoastal Waterway marshes and gorgeous barrier island beaches. The greater metropolitan region has a population of 500,000.
Charleston AFB is home of the Air Force's newest airlifter, the C-17 Globemaster III, whose mission is one of the most exciting in Air Mobility Command. Often at a moment's notice food, medical and other critical supplies are provided on a daily basis in support of our troops around the world. The Charleston AFB Exchange becomes readily involved, when required, in support of these missions and we are proud to be included in the concept of Team Charleston working together.
If you have any questions, please use the Exchange customer comment box located in all our facilities. Better yet, ask to speak to the manager - there is one in each retail store, snack bar, Express, theater and concession activity. You will receive a courteous and prompt reply.
We appreciate your patronage and consider the military and their families to be the best customers in the world! We are focused on our customer and welcome you to provide comments to me and I look forward to hearing from you.
Common Orris
General Manager

We expect to contribute $400,000 to MWR facilities such as Ball fields, gyms, swimming pools, clubs, child care and other recreational areas. MWR Dividend contributions for 2008 were: $455,999.
Civilians are welcome at all Charleston AFB Exchange food facilities when on base.
All Guardsmen, Reservists and their families are authorized full, unlimited privileges in all the Exchange facilities on Charleston AFB and the rest of the United States, by simply showing their proper identification.
