Rochester Post Bulletin: "Franken seeks answers in deaths of WSU Grad, friend"
Winona State University grad, Kari Bowerman, was traveling through Southeast Asia with her friend Cathy Huynh when they both became sick in Vietnam. Both of the women were admitted to the hospital and unfortunately passed away from yet to be determined causes. Sen. Franken wrote a letter to Secretary of State Clinton to ask for an investigation into the two women's deaths.
New York Times: Collins: "The Lows of Higher Ed"
New York Times Columnist Gail Collins recently wrote about the need to make sure students are aware of the cost of their college education. Collins mentioned Sen. Franken's Understanding the True Cost of College Act which would require all schools to provide students with a standard form that would inform students of their finacial responsibilites.
