Aviation Safety Training

Aviation Safety Officer Course (ASOC): Produces the skills necessary to manage an aviation safety program at company and battalion levels. Offered as a six-week resident course, the ASOC is designed to train an individual on "how to" administer an Aviation Safety Program. More>>

Senior Aviation Safety Officer Seminar (SASOS): Provide senior safety professionals higher education that is cutting edge and valuable to the needs of the demographic/field. Training will include modules such as Human Factors Accident Classification System and HFACS Taxonomy, how to access and check compliance with Safety Of Use Messages, Ground Precautionary Messages, Safety of Flight Messages, Aviation Safety Action Messages etc. How to download blackboard training courses offered through Army Knowledge Online and Distance Learning, USACR/SAFETY CENTER RMIS statistical analysis, and Army air and ground trends also will be addressed. Essentially, the course will detail how and where to find cutting edge information giving students value-added information and staff skills used to influence safety program requirements to commanders. Accident Investigation and Analysis Course (AIC): Schedule to support Installation-level Accident Investigations (IAIs). All commands are encouraged to identify potential investigation board presidents (AR 385-10) and provide them this opportunity to attain the knowledge and skills necessary to complete an accident investigation to Army standards. The course is also beneficial to anyone who may potentially serve as an accident investigation board member. The eight day course covers regulatory requirements, board organization, the investigation process, medical and legal aspects, photography, data collection, witness interviewing, human factors, data analysis, and report assembly.  Please register for the course through ATRRS School Code 012, Course 7K-F22.
