The Fort Campbell High School football program is in the hands of a man who knows the players well. Anthony Butler, who has served as the Falcons’ assistant coach on special teams and the secondary, was named head coach on Wednesday Feb. 13.
Congratulations Coach Butler. Go Falcons!

The following districts will be seeking candidates to participate in the School Board Special election:

If you would like to run for the school board, you may pick up and return a nominating petition to the central office located at 77 Texas Ave. during normal business hours.  The petition requires one signature from a person residing in the same voting district.   The petition must be filed during the period of Feb. 13 – 1 March 2013.

CONGRATULATIONS!
This past weekend FCHS wrestling team finished in 29th place out of 77 teams with 29.5 points. This is the highest we have finished a long time. Way to go Falcons!

TENNIS
Tennis conditioning will be at the gate one tennis courts from 3:45 until 5:30 today.

DONATIONS PLEASE: The Fort Campbell High School PTO is requesting donations of granola bars.  The bars will be offered to the students as a snack during the Terra Nova testing next week.  The granola bars must be of a healthy, breakfast variety and may not contain nuts of any kind.  Donations may be dropped off in the Guidance Office through February 27th.

PEER SUPPORT GROUP

Students seeking peer to peer support for stress related to parent’s deployment, recent or upcoming family relocation, relationship issues, or academic stress will be able to attend a peer support group during lunch. The groups are happening every Thursday in the counselor’s office. Please sign up in the counselor’s office or talk with a counselor for more information.

Juniors:  Want to be a part of the Washington Youth Tour? Twelve high school juniors will be awarded a week in the nation’s capital June 14-20 2013 where they along with 180 plus Tennessee delegates and 1,400 + delegates from other states, will visit sites such as Monticello, Mt. Vernon, The Kennedy Center and Arlington Cemetery.  To enter, students must be a high school junior, submit a short story (not to exceed 900 words) titled “Electric Cooperatives:  Powering Your Community” by February 25th 2013.  Scholarships awarded by the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association will be given to the top three in the state.  For more information visit http://cemc.org/youthprograms.asp or see Junior counselor.

        2. Attire under gown: will have guidelines given in April
        3. Mandatory Rehearsal on May 30th @ 9:30a.m. at the Dunn Center.  Graduation Luncheon will follow if funds are raised.  This will be for students only. 
    We need to get pictures (1-2) of each senior for the graduation video/slide show.  Please email them to one of the sponsors.

New Immunization Requirements


The activity bus leaves the bus ramp at 3:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. You must have a pass from a teacher.


TUTORING
English and Social Studies will be tutoring in room 21 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Math and Science will be in room 8 tutoring on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent teacher conferences will take place on four Tuesdays throughout the year:  September 18, November 13, February 5, and April 23.  Parents can call (270) 640-1219 to set up 15 minute appointments for those dates.
