Bob Brown Biography
Robert (Bob)
E. Brown is the Associate
Director of Administration
and Budget for the Bureau of
Ocean Energy Management,
Regulation, and Enforcement
(BOEMRE) and is the Bureau’s
Chief Information Officer.
He has held this position
since July, 1994.
Bob is responsible for
planning, executing, and
advising the Director on all
administrative, budgetary,
and financial management
services for BOEMRE
programs. He is responsible
for providing a centralized
administrative structure for
human resources, equal
employment opportunity,
procurement, property,
support services, employee
safety, printing, management
analysis, records
management, information
management, and internal
security.
Bob is a
New Jersey native and
graduated from Seton Hall
University with a B.A. and
pursued post-graduate
studies in History at
Georgetown University.
He has
served in positions in human
resources and in other
administrative arenas within
the Department of the
Interior, the Small Business
Administration, and the U.S.
Navy and has served as the
acting Associate Director
for Minerals Revenue
Management, Offshore
Minerals Management, and
Policy and Management
Improvement.
Over his thirty years of service Bob has received the Department of Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the DOI Meritorious and Distinguished Service Awards, and has twice been awarded the Presidential Rank of Meritorious Executive.
