Civilian Equivalents

MOS/MOC Equivalents

The Veteran Job Bank provides civilian job equivalents for 7,000 Military Occupational Specialities or Codes (MOS/MOCs).  These codes are compiled from a variety of sources, including the Army and Navy COOL sites, and O*NET. 

A static MOS/MOC Equivalents feed of these codes and the equivalents will be updated several times a year.  The static equivalents JSON file is approximately 2MB and can be downloaded directly from the NRD.  No authentication is required.

The following example shows the JSON representation of the NRD MOCs and Civilian Equivalents items.
