The Army Operational Knowledge Management (AOKM) Conference is sponsored by the Commander of the Combined Arms Center (CAC), at the Kansas City Airport Marriott Hotel, Monday evening through Friday morning, 19-23 October 2009. Hosted by the Battle Command Knowledge System (BCKS) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the theme for this year's conference, "Winning the Current Fight," is driven by a sense of urgency, the imperative to support the current fight, and to support unit learning organizations. Spread over five days, the program includes Warfighting KM, KM best practices and updates on cutting edge knowledge exploration initiatives.... More

Purpose

Reinforce understanding among Soldiers, CKOs, KMOs, KM Sections, BCT commanders/staffs, COEs, and other KM practitioners that CAC is the lead for disseminating and integrating KM concepts, TTPs and best practices throughout The Army.

Desired Outcome

Shape a collective way ahead strategy for KM across The Army.

Train Soldiers, especially those currently in or going to a KM Section, with KM knowledge, TTPs and Best Practices they can apply immediately.

Address transformational and institutional issues concerning KM across The Army.
