Uniform Crime Reporting Data ToolDecember 3, 2010
BJS has developed a new data query tool for the FBI (http://www.UCRDataTool.gov/) that improves access to the FBIs UCR data and includes the latest available crime data (2009). The tool was developed for the FBI as part of on-going collaboration between the two agencies to improve crime data accessibility and provide information to the public. The ucrdatatool.gov website will replace the long-standing data online tool available via the BJS website. More information about methodology and best practices for using the new tool are available at http://www.UCRDataTool.gov/.
