USPTO to Hold Public Roundtable on Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences
Ex Parte Appeals Rules
Meeting will be Webcast
WASHINGTON – Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Sharon Barner will open a public roundtable on Wednesday, January 20, at 9:30 a.m., at the USPTO’s campus in Alexandria, Va. Chief Judge of the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences Michael Fleming will brief participants on the challenges facing the Board. The public will have an opportunity to comment on modifications to rules governing practice before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences in ex parte patent appeals.
