back to top World's Largest AIDS Awareness Ribbon

Liverpool footall team supporting World Aids Day

On World AIDS Day, AVERT, in partnership with Standard Chartered Bank will unveil the world’s largest AIDS awareness ribbon at Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Stadium during the Liverpool vs. Southampton football match – reflecting our theme of Awareness.

The red ribbon cuts across language barriers to communicate HIV and AIDS awareness to a global community. We hope that bringing this icon to the public arena will encourage people to face up to HIV and AIDS across the globe and help to reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.

We will publish the picture of the ribbon at Liverpool Football Club this Saturday, 1st December. Read more about the world's largest AIDS Awareness Ribbon.
