Invasive species are one of the biggest problems Indiana Dunes faces. Each month on the third Saturday from 9:00a.m. to noon, join a ranger to learn about this national park while you volunteer your hand to improve it.

The Friends of Buchanan Canyon seek volunteers with an interest in helping to restore critical habitats within Buchanan Canyon in University Heights. Activities will include erosion control measures and other projects to help protect this wonderful open space for the plants and wildlife that depend upon it. Groups welcomed. All tools and gloves provided. Closed shoes required. Meet at the canyon rim across from 1261 Johnson Avenue, 92103.
