LENGTH LIMITS AND ADVISORIES

Generals Highway Length Limit
Some sections of the Generals Highway, or the main road through Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, are subject to the general rules about vehicle lengths, e.g., single vehicles longer than 40 feet (12 m) or vehicle plus tow unit longer than 50 feet (15 m) are prohibited along the Generals Highway.

Important! The Generals Highway between Hospital Rock and the Giant Forest Museum is closed to vehicles longer than 22 feet (6.7 m). This includes vehicles towing units - the combined length must be less than 22 feet. This temporary closure is due to road construction, expected to last through the end of November 2012 and affects those who wish to enter or exit through Sequoia National Park.

Crystal Cave Road Length Limit
Single vehicles longer than 22 feet (6.7 m) are prohibited. Open during cave tour season, May through late October.

Mineral King Road Length Warning
Extremely narrow and winding road. Open May through October, weather permitting.

Moro Rock/Crescent Meadow Road Length Limit
Single vehicles longer than 22 feet (6.7 m) and towed units are prohibited during shuttle operation season, May through Labor Day weekend. Closes with snow.
