  OVC Delivers Customized Training and Technical Assistance Right to You

Do you provide assistance, advocacy, medical, or mental health services to victims of crime?

Are you looking for ways to improve your team's knowledge and skills to better serve the crime victims you encounter in your community?

If so, you will want to know that OVC offers customized training and technical assistance to meet your organization's needs.

OVC can take the cost of bringing an expert to your location right out of the equation. You provide the venue, the right audience, and the meeting planning logistics, and OVC will send an experienced trainer or presenter with the right expertise at no cost to you.

 
  Professional Development Scholarships Available for Victim Service Professionals

Did you know that OVC provides financial assistance for basic and advanced training in victim services? If you have chosen a career in crime victim services, you may qualify for an OVC Professional Development Scholarship.

OVC provides up to $1,000 for individuals and up to $5,000 for multidisciplinary teams of victim service professionals seeking continuing education opportunities. This scholarship provides reimbursement of costs for—
  • Tuition/registration fees.
  • Transportation expenses.
  • Lodging expenses.
  • Meals/incidentals.
Apply early! Scholarship awards are limited to available funds and processed in the order in which applications are received.
