Abstract:
Not Available Our nation faces a growing threat from terrorist organizations. The proposed Phase I effort provides the fundamental required research and development for a system that can provide realistic insight into future actions of terrorist organizations and their sponsors. The purpose of such organizations and sponsors will be delineated using the Valuated State Space Approach. Models to assist in filtering and understanding the fast array of data that is collected across many different factors regarding terrorist activities will be designed using evolutionary algorithms. Success in Phase I sets the stage for generating more detailed models in Phase II to assay what if conditions and anticipate possible actions and reactions to terrorist activities.
