Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway today announced that pursuant to the terms of the national mortgage settlement, two million postcard notices have been mailed this week to U.S. homeowners who lost their homes to foreclosure between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2011.

On Thursday, February 9, 2012, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced a settlement with the five largest mortgage servicers, Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi, and Ally/GMAC, resulting in a $25 billion settlement. Of that, 49 states will receive part of the settlement with Kentucky receiving $58.5 million.
