(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding the death of Henderson resident and former Navy SEAL, Tyrone S. Woods, who was killed during the attacks in Benghazi, Libya earlier this week:

“I am deeply saddened by the death of Tyrone Woods who lost his life during the despicable attacks in Libya earlier this week. There are no words to describe the horrific actions that took the innocent life of an American hero trying to further the cause of democracy and freedom. I wish to express my deepest condolences and prayers for his family during this difficult time. Tyrone’s dedication to this country epitomized the very best of this nation, and I am grateful for his service,” said Senator Dean Heller.
