POV of HERO Close Up reveals a recovery meeting brochure with “Welcome! Recovery Benefits Everyone” printed across the top. TILT UP reveals group of adults—varied ages and ethnicities—milling about, sipping from styrofoam cups, chatting, even high fiving in a community room/classroom setting with chairs set up, table in background with coffee, donuts, cups.
PUNTO DE VISTA de PROTAGONISTA, un PLANO DETALLE revela un folleto de una reunión de recuperación con un: “¡Bienvenido! La recuperación beneficia a todos” impreso en la portada. INCLINACIÓN HACIA ARRIBA revelando un grupo de adultos –de edad y etnias variadas- sorbiendo de tasas desechables, charlando, incluso chocando manos en el interior de un salón comunitario, hay sillas instaladas alrededor y al fondo una mesa con café, donas y tasas.
As each individual makes eye (camera) contact with Hero, a NUMBER GRAPHIC dissolves on and off screen —11, 3, 18, and 25…
Mientras cada individuo hace contacto visual con PROTAGONISTA (la cámara), disolvencias con un GRÁFICO NUMÉRICO aparecen y desaparecen de la pantalla -11, 3, 18 y 25…
ONE ATTENDEE smiles at Hero (camera), as the two shake hands the statement “8 years in recovery” dissolves on and off. Hero turns to leave through a door.
Un PARTICIPANTE sonríe a PROTAGONISTA (a la cámara), al tiempo que se saludan de manos la frase “8 años en recuperación” aparece y desaparece en disolvencia. PROTAGONISTA gira para salir por la puerta.
Casting note: silver hair adult and person in wheel chair
Nota para el elenco: Adulto canoso y una persona en silla de ruedas.

As HERO walks down the sidewalk, a HISPANIC WOMAN (in her 50s) in business attire walking by, as she passes, she makes eye (camera) contact, and walks through a NUMBER GRAPHIC “13 years” (dissolve on and off) and continues to walk past.
Mientras PROTAGONISTA camina por la acera, una MUJER HISPANA (en sus 50´s) vestida de traje sastre, al pasar hace contacto visual (a la cámara) y camina a través de un GRÁFICO NUMÉRICO “13 años” (disolvencia entra y se va) sigue su paso.

Passing her, we see a BOY (12 to 13 yrs -Caucasian) and his DAD (40s) stepping onto the sidewalk from a small flight of stairs. The boy has a basketball tucked under one arm. We see the dad walk through NUMBER GRAPHIC “7 Years” (dissolve on and off).
Después de ella vemos un NIÑO (12-13 años, caucásico) y a su PAPÁ (40´s) bajar a la acera desde un escalón. El niño trae una pelota de basketball bajo un brazo. Vemos como el papá camina a través de un GRÁFICO NUMÉRICO “7 Años” (entra y sale en disolviencia)

Inside, THREE YOUNG WOMEN (20-somethings—one Caucasian, one Asian, one African American) are at a table facing camera, laughing and serving pieces from a small cake, that has “365 Days” on it. One makes eye (camera) contact, as the camera slowly pulls out and pans...
PUNTO DE VISTA, mirando por la ventana de un café. Al interior, TRES MUJERES JÓVENES (en sus 20´s ‘una caucásica, una asiática y una afroamericana) están en la mesa viendo hacia la cámara, riendo y sirviéndose de un pequeño pastel que tiene “365 días” sobre él. Una hace contacto visual (a la cámara) mientras la cámara se aleja lentamente con un paneo…

POV still, stepping through front door to the entry hall, Hero sees wife and daughter doing homework on kitchen table, Mom looks up and smiles, Hero continues to side table, looks down at the keys in his hand and the brochure as he sets them down on the table.
PUNTO DE VISTA se detiene, entra por la puerta principal al vestíbulo, PROTAGONISTA ve a la ESPOSA e HIJA haciendo la tarea en la mesa de la cocina, ESPOSA lo ve y le sonríe, PROTAGONISTA sigue hacia una mesilla, voltea a ver la llaves y el folleto que tiene en su mano mientras los pone en la mesa.

HERO (dark-haired, ethnic looking Caucasian male –mid to late 30’s) as we see him for the first time.
PROTAGONISTA (cabello oscuro, tipo caucásico, en sus 30´s altos) lo vemos por primera vez.
He looks up, sees his face reflected in the mirror over the side table. He smiles. SLIGHT PUSH on Hero’s face, feeling optimism in his eyes/expression.
Voltea la mirada hacia arriba, ve su rostro reflejado en el espejo que está sobre la mesilla. Sonríe. LEVE ACERCAMIENTO al rostro de PROTAGONISTA, con expression optimista en su mirada.

Group murmur continues and then fades as we step onto street.
El murmullo continúa y va desapareciendo mientras caminamos hacia la calle.
SFX:
BG low sound of street noises, cars driving by, muffled conversations from people on the street,

De fondo, sonido de la calle, automóviles pasando, conversaciones a lo lejos de las personas.
We hear the Hero’s footsteps, slight breathing
Oímos los pasos de PROTAGONISTA y su respiración.

SFX:
Soft street noises, footsteps, BG pedestrian chatter. We hear hints of Hero’s breathing as we walk at an energetic pace.
SFX:
De fondo leve ruido de calle, peatones charlando. Oímos la respiración de PROTAGONISTA mientras aumenta el ritmo de nuestro paso.
Son’s VO:
“I got my dad back.”
VO Hijo:

Street noises become less apparent, transitioning to light breeze, tree leaves rustling, soft bird chirping
