  • Ernest Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund – The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is seeking proposals to increase ocean awareness and promote action for ocean conservation.   • P3 Awards National Student Design Competition – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking applications for the P3-People, Prosperity and the Planet Award Program proposing to research, develop, and design solutions to real world challenges involving the overall sustainability of human society. The program was developed to foster progress toward sustainability by achieving the mutual goals of economic prosperity, protection of the planet, and improved quality of life for its people.   • Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is seeking grant applications for the Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks Grant Program to advance technological capability and promote the deployment of intelligent transportation systems applications for commercial vehicle operations.   • Brownfields Assessment Grants – The Environmental Protection Agency is soliciting applications for the Brownfields Assessment Grants. Brownfields Assessment Grants provide funds to inventory, characterize, assess, and conduct planning (including cleanup planning) and community involvement related to brownfield sites.   • Safety Data Improvement Program Grants – The U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is soliciting applications for FY 2013 Safety Data Improvement Program Grants. This program provides funding for States involved in the collection, analysis, and reporting of large truck and bus crash and inspection data to improve the quality of the commercial motor vehicle data reported by States to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.   • Domestic Violence Homicide Prevention Demonstration Initiative – The Office on Violence Against Women is soliciting applications for the FY 2012 Domestic Violence Homicide Prevention Demonstration Initiative. The program aims to implement domestic violence homicide reduction and prevention models and help build the capacity of jurisdictions to improve identification of and services for high-risk victims while better monitoring high-risk offenders to reduce domestic violence related homicide.   • Clean Vessel Act Grant Program – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting applications for the Clean Vessel Act Grant Program that allows states and territories to construct, renovate, operate, and maintain pumpout stations and waste reception facilities for recreational boaters and to inform boaters about the use, benefits, and availability of pumpout stations and waste reception facilities.   • OVW Consolidated Grant and Technical Assistance Program – The Consolidated Grant Program to Address Children and Youth Experiencing Domestic and Sexual Violence and Engage Men and Boys as Allies creates a unique opportunity for communities to increase collaboration among non-profit victim service providers, violence prevention and child- and youth-serving organizations, organizations and programs that support men’s role in combating violence against women and girls, schools, and tribal and local government agencies.   • Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections – The purpose of this grant is to help cultural institutions meet the complex challenge of preserving large and diverse holdings of humanities materials for future generations by supporting preventive conservation measures that mitigate deterioration and prolong the life of collections.   • Rural Health Network Development Planning – The Health Resources and Services Administration is soliciting applications for the Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant Program which promotes the development of integrated healthcare networks. This program brings together key parts of a rural health care delivery system to work together to establish or improve local capacity and coordination of care.   • Art Works – The National Endowment for the Arts is soliciting proposals for funding to support research on how “art works.” NEA will fund research projects seeking to define value for the U.S. arts sector, and those seeking to demonstrate the arts' impact on American life. Through high-quality research, the National Endowment of Arts will expand opportunities for research that investigates the value of the U.S. arts ecosystem and the impact of the arts on other domains of American life.   • Coral Reef Conservation Program – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is soliciting applications for the Coral Reef Conservation Grant Program which provides matching grants of financial assistance to support coral reef conservation projects in shallow water coral reef ecosystems, including reefs at mesospheric depths. Proposals submitted must address at least one of the following four categories: Fishing Impacts; Land-Based Sources of Pollution; Climate Change and Local and Emerging Management Issues.   • State and Territorial Coral Reef Conservation – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is soliciting applications for Coral Reef Conservation Cooperative Agreements. The objective of these Cooperative Agreements is to support coral reef management and monitoring programs and conservation projects that seek to improve the condition of coral reef ecosystem resources.   • Documenting Democracy: Access to Historical Records Projects – The National Historical Publications and Records Commission seeks proposals that promote the preservation and use of the nation's most valuable archival resources. Projects should expand our understanding of the American past by facilitating and enhancing access to primary source materials. Activities such as establishing archives programs, processing archival collections, surveying and accessioning archival records, and converting existing archival collection finding aids to new online formats will be supported.   • Summer Stipends – The National Endowment for the Humanities is soliciting applications for Summer Stipends that support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Summer Stipends are awarded to individual scholars. Organizations are not eligible to apply. Closing date is September 27, 2012.   • Coastal Program – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting applications for the Coastal Program grant. The Coastal Program is a voluntary, incentive-based program that provides technical and financial assistance to coastal communities and landowners to protect and restore fish and wildlife habitat on public and private lands.   • Sport Fish Restoration Program Funding – The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Sport Fish Restoration (SFR) Program provides grant funds to the state and insular areas fish and wildlife agencies for fishery projects, boating access and aquatic education. The SFR Program was created to restore and better manage America's declining fishery resources and was modeled after the successful Wildlife Restoration Program. Through the purchases of fishing equipment, motorboat and small engine fuels and import duties the SFR Program is one of the most successful user pay, user benefit programs.   • State Wildlife Grant Program – The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service State Wildlife Grants Program provides federal grant funds for developing and implementing programs that benefit wildlife and their habitats, including species not hunted or fished. Priority is placed on projects that benefit species of greatest conservation concern. Grant funds must be used to address conservation needs, such as research, surveys, species and habitat management, and monitoring, identified within a State’s Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Plan/Strategy.   • Wildlife Restoration Grant Program – The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Wildlife Restoration Program provides grant funds to the states and insular areas fish and wildlife agencies for projects to restore, conserve, manage and enhance wild birds and mammals and their habitat. Projects also may include providing public use and access to wildlife resources, hunter education and development and management of shooting ranges. Closing date is September 30, 2012.
