Positive Youth Development
Positive youth development is a strengths-based approach to working with youth that focuses on preparing them to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood through a coordinated, progressive series of activities and experiences that help them to become socially, morally, emotionally, physically, and cognitively competent. National Resource Center for Youth Development
Works to increase the capacity and resources of States and Tribes to help youth in foster care meet the goals of safety, permanence, and well-being. Training and technical assistance offered by the Resource Center is based on four core principles: youth development, collaboration, cultural competence, and permanent connections.
