Santa Clara University's U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013 team is composed of a motivated group of undergraduate students who share a passion for sustainable engineering and innovative design.
Santa Clara's concept is driven by the three E's: efficiency, elegance, and economy. With architectural design assistance provided by the University of San Francisco, its Rhythm House emphasizes unique bamboo architectural applications and the belief that sustainable living can be affordable. By using highly efficient materials and technologies, the team plans to balance the cutting-edge with the deceptively simple to create a new frontier in sustainable living.
