After a one-competition break, four-time U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon veteran Missouri University of Science and Technology returns in 2013 for its fifth competition.
The mission of the Missouri University of Science and Technology team is multipronged. Through Solar Decathlon 2013, the team hopes to:
Promote knowledge and interdisciplinary cooperation for the technological advancement of solar energy for residential use
Encourage research of past Solar Decathlon entries to improve future entries
Expand team member knowledge regarding group dynamics and the integration of architecture and technology with dwelling space design and function
Familiarize team members with product development, marketing, and business skills to prepare them for leadership roles in industry.
