Cooper the terrier mix dog and Simone the black and white cat are only two of the many animals waiting for forever homes at the animal shelter in Luling.

The St. Charles Social Success Program is now seeking applicants who may be in need of Christmas gifts for their kids and job readiness resources.

St. Charles Parish dogs (and cats) will have their day at the first annual ‘Bark at the Bridge Park’ festival, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
