- John Sevier Combined Cycle Plant Dedication (6 photos)Here are a few pictures from today’s dedication at John Sevier Combined Cycle Gas Plant near Rogersville, Tenn. The plant was completed and commercially operational in April 2012. It runs on natural gas and has a total output of 880 megawatts, enough to supply about 500,000 homes. — in Rogersville, TN.

- Employees at our Watts Bar Nuclear Plant paused this morning to remember those who never returned home during National POW/MIA Recognition Day.
- The reactor head of Watts Bar Unit 1 is suspended under a hoisting rig as it is removed in preparation for refueling operations. At 175-tons, the head, which seals the reactor and contains mechanisms for raising and lowering the control rods, is the heaviest moveable piece of equipment at the plant. For perspective, the reactor cavity in which the head is suspended is approximately 32 feet from top to bottom.
