Employee Viewpoint Survey

In 2011 the National Gallery of Art participated in the government's Employee Viewpoint Survey for the first time. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) surveyed more than 500,000 full-time, permanent, federal employees, requesting their opinions on leadership, job satisfaction, and work-life issues. Government-wide survey results are posted at www.fedview.opm.gov.

At the Gallery, 749 employees were surveyed and 384 replied, for a response rate of over 51 percent. (The government-wide response rate was 49 percent.) The survey included 84 questions. The Gallery exceeded the government-wide "percent positive" average by five or more points on 7 questions.
