This website complies with Section 508 Accessibility Guidelines as outlined in the Rehabilitation Act of 1998. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. Simply put, this means that everyone can access the same information in a presentation that best suits their needs.

Some examples of Section 508 compliance:

  • All images have a text equivalent ("alt" tags describing the visual)
  • All pages have output that is rendered as plain text and is understandable by screen reading technologies
  • This website adheres to World Wide Web and Government Accessibility guidelines by using valid XHTML 1.1 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

  • This site is not dependent on JavaScript and pages function with JavaScript turned off
