  • On Dec. 9, U.S. Ambassador Mary Warlick and Mr. Stanko Radic, General Manager of Grand Motors Serbia, donated an ambulance to the Vranje Medical more than $45,000, was shared by the U.S. Embassy and Grand Motors. The U.S. Department of Defense provided $20,000 through U.S. European Command's Civil Military Operations. The Vranje Medical Center is the most remote medical center in Serbia, providing services to more than 228,000 citizens and is responsible for several international and heavily congested roads where numerous serious traffic accidents occur each year. For these reason, the Vranje Medical Center requires a reliable ambulance vehicle for transport of patients to the medical center and, in the case of severe injuries or medical conditions, to a distant major medial institution.
