“NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility, or MAF, is managed by Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), is operated by Jacobs Technology, and houses a variety of occupants from both the commercial and government sectors. These customers have access to one of the world’s largest indoor manufacturing facilities and to state-of-the-art equipment such as automated machining, automated fiber placement machines, and friction stir welding. They also take advantage of the many support services such as laboratory testing, supply chain management, customized training programs, lean six sigma consultation, and other production support activities. They have access to a deep water port, nearby rail and air, and the interstate highway system.

MAF is uniquely suited to enable speed to market and company expansion in an extremely low risk environment. Just some of the things that a company would not have to worry about include a talented and motivated workforce pool, well-maintained and available infrastructure, natural disaster protection, and even environmental permits already in place.

Relying on MAF to grow and protect them, MAF’s customers can focus on what they do best. “
