The Department of Defense has an agreement with several agencies that prevents DFAS from starting, stopping or changing any allotments paid to them. Some of these agencies are:

• Long-Term Care Plan
• Delta Dental
• Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan
• Office Of Servicemen's and Veteran's Group Life Insurance
• National Service Life Insurance
• All Tricare Prime Allotments
• U.S. Family Healthcare Plans, including:
  • Brighton Marine
  • St. Vincent
  • Pacific Medical
  • John Hopkins
  • Christus Health
  • Martins Point

To start, stop or change your allotments for the above agencies, you must contact them yourself. DFAS will then receive your desired actions from the applicable agency.
