Dear Technical Data Requestors:

Please help us to help you. All the data in our care is used to support our military and our foreign military partners. Because so many depend on our data, we want to make every effort to protect this data from getting into the wrong hands, while sharing it with those who need it.

Your help is required in this effort. Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5230.25 directs our organization to verify your need for the requested technical data. If you will use company letterhead and provide verifiable proof of your need for the data you are requesting, that will speed up the process by helping us get through the most time consuming and labor intensive part of the process. The most common reasons to request data are listed below. If your reason is listed, please provide the requested information. If your reason is not listed, please contact us for further discussion.

Request to support an EXISTING US DoD or US Government contract:
1. A signed copy of your DD Form 2345, if you are requesting export-controlled technical data or drawings.
2. Contract number driving the need for the technical data.
3. If you are a subcontractor to a primary contractor awarded the contract listed above, please provide a short description of your relationship to the contractor and applicable points of contact (procurement contracting officer [PCO] and contact within primary contractor).
4. Please include any additional, active government points of contact that can help quickly verify your request. Including names, organizations, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.
5. Please give a brief explanation why you did not receive the information with the awarded contract.
6. If you are requesting drawings in any form please continue to supply the weapon system (i.e. aircraft), part number, cage code for the part number, and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows. Identifying the next higher assembly can be helpful to us if you are not sure what technical data you need.
7. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is required. Also, if you briefly explain what data you expect is contained in the requested technical manual and how you intend to apply it to your contract, that will help us to understand your need.

Request to support a SOLICITATION for a US DoD or US Government contract:
1. A signed copy of your DD Form 2345, if you are requesting export-controlled technical data or drawings.
2. Solicitation number driving the need for the technical data and PCO contact information.
3. Please give an explanation why you believe this information is required in addition to that already provided as part of the solicitation package.
4. If you are requesting drawings in any form, please continue to supply the weapon system (i.e. aircraft), part number, cage code for the part number, and the noun or nomenclature that describes what the drawing shows. Identifying the next higher assembly can be helpful to us if you are not sure what technical data you need.
5. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is required. Also, if you briefly explain what data you expect is contained in the requested technical manual and how you intend to apply it to this solicitation, that will help us to understand your need.
Request to support a USAF SOLICITATION - send request to POC on SOLICITATION.

Request to support a PROS [Parts Repair Ordering System] contract:
1. A signed copy of your DD Form 2345, if you are requesting export-controlled technical data or drawings.
2. Verification that you are supporting a PROS contract.
3. 4. If you are requesting a technical manual, the technical order number is required in addition to the part number and national stock number. Also, if you briefly explain what data you expect is contained in the requested technical manual and how you intend to apply it to your contract, that will help us to understand your need.

2. Country you are supporting.
3. If this is a US contract to support a FMS country, provide a copy of the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Form 191, Foreign Disclosure Procurement Decision Worksheet. If you are contracted directly with the country, contact us for AFMC Form 458 Foreign Disclosure Release Worksheet.

Request to support an UNSOLICITED BID:
1. A signed copy of your DD Form 2345, if you are requesting export-controlled technical data or drawings. If you do not have a DD Form 2345, this will be required via the Joint Certification Program before being considered for data (<www.dlis.dla.mil/JCP/>).
2. Detailed background about your organization, why you want the requested data, and how you propose to support the US military.

Thank you for your interest and support to help us provide technical support to our country's warfighters and our foreign country partners. Providing the above information and anything else you feel might help us understand your business interest in our weapon systems will help us to respond to your request in a shorter time period and more likely result in a positive response.
