Successful Vaccine Developed Against Deadly Nipah Virus, Scientists Report
A major breakthrough in the development of a highly effective vaccine against the deadly Nipah virus has been reported by a team of federal and university scientists. The results of their study, "A Hendra virus G glycoprotein subunit vaccine protects African green monkeys from Nipah virus challenge," appears in Science Translational Medicine online. 
USU 40th Anniversary
The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences was established by Congress in 1972. Four years later, USU enrolled 32 students from its administrative location above People's Drug Store in downtown Bethesda, Maryland.
