Exercises and Operations

EUCOM and it's components are actively engaged in more than 100 exercises and operations that enhance their ability to play an active role in transatlantic security and defend the United States forward.

Most exercises, and even many of the operations, partner EUCOM with other nations and U.S. government agencies to broaden the command's perspective and help to maintain high standards of performance.

Ballistic Missile Defense, a joint venture with NATO for the European Phased Adaptive Approach, is one of the most active and visible operations in the EUCOM area of responibility.

The Combined Endeavor exercise annually brings more than 40 nations together for the largest communications exercise of its kind. Additionally, the Jackal Stone exercise, spearheaded by Special operations Command Europe, joins multinational special operations forces in a partnership building and interoperability exercise that emphasizes mutual respect and collaborative training.
