School District Boundaries

The U.S. Census Bureau's Geography Division updates school district boundaries every other year as part of the School District Review Program. This initiative provides boundaries for the production of school district demographic estimates, and also provides school district boundary layers for the Census Bureau's TIGER/Line spatial data products. School districts are identified as Elementary (primarily serving children in the elementary grades), Secondary (primarily serving children in secondary grades 9th-12th), and Unified (serving children of all grade levels). School district boundaries for individual states are available for FTP download from TIGER/Line.
