ACUS to Host Workshop Examining Federal Advisory Committee Act

On Tuesday, August 16 from 1-4 pm, the Administrative Conference of the United States will host a workshop dealing with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (“FACA”). FACA is a statute that controls federal agencies’ ability to obtain advice from groups of individuals outside of the government. The workshop will include representatives from federal agencies that host advisory committees and members of private organizations interested in the activities of advisory committees, and will be open to interested members of the public. Participants will discuss a number of important issues related to the formation and conduct of federal advisory committees.
