Members of the KFOR 13, Multinational Battle Group East, Liaison Monitoring Team, met with more than 40 local children during a Summer camp program in Strpce/Shterpce, July 20. The program, hosted by Strong Start, a non-governmental organization in Kosovo, offered the Soldiers of LMT 7, who arrived in Kosovo only two weeks ago, their first chance to interact with the youth of their sector.

These are words everyone should try to avoid hearing, but these are the words Hugo, and the other military working dogs on Camp Bondsteel, are waiting to hear. Camp Bondsteel currently has three Military Working Dogs (MWD) trained in a variety of skills from locating explosives and drugs, to conducting patrols and attacking aggressive individuals.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - Wearing blue shirts with "Run To Remember" on the front and names of the brigade's fallen Soldiers on the back, the ladies stretch, socialize, then join hands. One of the wives says a prayer, then closes by reading names of the brigade's 41 fallen service members. It's a reminder to everyone that war comes with a price, and for the wives who lost husbands, it's reassurance that they will not be forgotten.

When they returned to their car afterward, they watched the car's outside temperature sensor climb - 110 degrees, 112 degrees, 115 degrees, 117 degrees.

A team of Soldiers from 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division met with the 32nd Company, 8th Iraqi Army Division Transportation Directorate in Numaniyah July 14 to conduct a capstone situational training exercise(STX). The STX focused on convoy operations and was the culmination of more than nine months of training between the U.S. and Iraqi Security Forces that began with basic vehicle maintenance, first aid, and more advanced lessons in reacting to small arms fire and improvised explosive devices.
