• NAGT Member Egger Awarded Science Prize for Inquiry-Based Instruction
  NAGT member Anne Egger, Central Washington University, has won the Science Prize for Inquiry-Based Instruction for June 2012.
• Spatial Thinking Resources
  From January to May, 2012, the Spatial Thinking Journal Club met once a month to explore the cognitive aspects of spatial thinking and the implications for geoscience education and research. We've summarized our key findings and research recommendations on the Cutting Edge Spatial Thinking in the Geosciences website.
• Teaching about Rates and Time
  We have a rich set of new resources for teaching about rates and time coming from our 2012 workshop on Teaching About Time. These resources include pages about using analogies to teach about time, assessing temporal learning, examples of learning goals, teaching about geochronology, and a synthesis of key findings from the workshop.
