Funmi E. Olorunnipa

Funmi Olorunnipa staff photo is an Attorney Advisor with the Administrative Conference of the United States. Ms. Olorunnipa previously worked in the private sector as an associate with the law firm of Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP and formerly served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Marilyn Hall Patel in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

During her time as an associate with Manatt, Ms. Olorunnipa practiced complex civil litigation before both federal and state courts. In her practice, she worked on a variety of cases at the trial and appellate levels involving contractual issues, business torts, insurance defense, white collar crime, government investigations, intellectual property, employment and labor law and healthcare law.

Ms. Olorunnipa graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall), where she served as Executive Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and Symposium Editor of the Berkeley Journal of African American Law and Policy. Ms. Olorunnipa also holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Ms. Olorunnipa graduated with honors from the University of Florida, where she received a Bachelors in Political Science and a Bachelors in Public Relations and was inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame.

Current Projects:

Agency Use of Video Hearings, In-House Researcher and Project Advisor

Ms. Olorunnipa authored a report on agency use of video hearings in administrative adjudications and other adjudicatory proceedings.  Following the Committee on Adjudication’s consideration of a draft recommendation based on Ms. Olorunnipa’s report, the full Assembly of the Administrative Conference adopted a final recommendation in June of 2011.
