TARDEC Energy Storage Team Leader Sonya Zanardelli was honored by the Michigan Business and Professional Association at its 15th Annual Women and Leadership in the Workplace Conference and Awards with the Shooting Star Award. Zanardelli has been recognized as a top female leader making a large impact on Michigan's economy.

Thomas Mathes

TARDEC Executive Director for Product Development Thomas Mathes was recognized as a Presidential Rank Award recipient. The Presidential Rank Award is given to a select group of Senior Executive Service career members who have provided exceptional service to the American people over an extended amount of time. Individuals are nominated by the Secretary of the Army and evaluated by a board of private citizens. Mathes was among 14 recipients presented with the Meritorious Executive Rank award. Final award recipients are approved by the President.
