Overcast and rainy conditions might have dominated the weather, but they were no match for the 296th Army Band. Lead by CW5 Stephen L. Campbell and Drum Major SSG Kevin Quinones, the band took to the streets of Tokyo for the city’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 18 2012.

The parade, which wound through the streets of the Harajuku area of the city, featured school-aged marching bands, bagpipers, and traditional Irish musical groups, just to name a few. At the culmination of the parade, the band performed several selections for the audience and provided musical support as the Irish Ambassador to Japan gave an address.
