The city and county of Bamberg are hosting a Burgher Fest downtown Bamberg to commemorate and celebrate almost 70 years of U.S. Army presence in Bamberg. Join the celebration at 2 p.m. at the Maxplatz. Bundeswehr and USAREUR concert start at 7 p.m.
August 26 will be the last day of business for USAG Bamberg's vehicle registration.
Bamberg Postal Service Center is now closed. As of 4 August, all remaining Bamberg Community members' mail will be put in "General Delivery Status". USAG Bamberg DPTMS will be the location point for mail pickup. The office is located at building 7089, third floor, room 309. They are open Mon-Fri 11 a.m.-3 p.m. USAG Ansbach Postal Service will support the mail mission until closure 30 Sep 2014.

The traffic lights at the railway underpass at Bamberg's Zollnerstrasse are broken. According to a press release from the city of Bamberg, the traffic flow has been changed, a speed limit has been established (30 km/h). Vehicles coming from Brennerstrasse can only take a right, until the problem has been fixed, which is expected by early next week.
The USAG Bamberg vehicle registration office will be closed on Tuesday, 29 July, but will be open on Monday, 28 July, Wednesday, 30 July and (as an exception) Thursday 31 July.
USAG Bamberg Family and MWR will host a NAF equipment sale 26 July, 12-4 p.m. USAG Schweinfurt hosts its sale the same day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Only U.S. ID card holders will have access to the sale. Purchases are cash only. Items on sale are mainly furniture, electrical items, fridges, tools, kitchen equipment etc. Please see the sales rules on the attached flyer.
USAG Bamberg's vehicle registration will be closed Thursdays and Fridays, effective 21 July. For assistance on those days, customers can use the Schweinfurt or Ansbach vehicle registration office. In 1974 he was in the Army, stationed overseas in Bamberg, Germany where he met and got married to a German Lady. They had two children, son Robert, who was born in August of 1975 and a year later they had their son Michael, born in July of 1976.
