S&T CSD

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) established the Cyber Security Division (CSD), within the Directorate’s Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA), in FY 2011 in response to the increasing importance of the cybersecurity mission. CSD’s mission is to develop and transition new technologies, tools, and techniques to protect and secure systems, networks, infrastructure, and users, improving the foundational elements of our nation’s critical infrastructure and the world’s information infrastructure; and, to provide coordination and research and development leadership across federal, state, and municipal government; international partners; the private sector; and academia to improve cybersecurity research infrastructure.
