2010

New Group B Strep Prevention Guidelines (12/7/2010)
New group B strep prevention guidelines were published in the November 19Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.  These 2010 guidelines were developed using an evidence-based approach in collaboration with several professional associations.

Hepatitis B and a Healthy Baby (10/29/10)
This is an audio-visual educational tool that describes the importance of getting babies vaccinated against hepatitis B if their mother has hepatitis B. The 13 page slide presentation uses very simple language and assumes low health literacy. The slide set has accompanying audio in English, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Hmong. Taglish is available in a written format only.

Hepatitis B and Your Healthy Baby (10/29/10)
This is a 24 page visual-only educational slide set for pregnant women who have Hepatitis B. The slide set explains the importance of getting babies vaccinated against Hepatitis B to prevent transmission of the disease. The slide set is written in easy to understand English, and is geared towards someone with moderate health literacy.

Protect your baby from group B strep. If you're 35-37 weeks pregnant, ask your doctor or nurse about a group B strep test.
