William J. Wiatrowski, Associate Commissioner for Compensation and Working Conditions

William J. Wiatrowski

Bill Wiatrowski has headed up the BLS Office of Compensation and Working Conditions since 2005. Prior to that he was Assistant Commissioner for the BLS Occupational Safety and Health Statistics Programs and held a number of staff and supervisory positions in the BLS wage and benefit programs.

The BLS compensation and workplace safety and health programs provide comprehensive information on employee wages and benefits and serve as the nation's public health surveillance systems for work-related fatal injuries and non-fatal injuries and illnesses.

Mr. Wiatrowski received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and the History of Art from Yale University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University. He is the author of numerous articles on employee benefits, compensation, and occupational safety and health issues and speaks on these topics before a wide variety of audiences.
