Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working layouts and detailed drawings according to specified dimensions from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes. Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings. May draft wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings used in manufacture, assembly, installation, and repair of electronic equipment. May use such devices as protractor, T-square, drafting machine, and other computer-assisted equipment. May be designated as Architectural Draftsman, Map Maker, Technical Illustrator.
