Pacific high school best football teams, players of the past quarter century

OK, campers, since we had so much fun with this during basketball season last winter, let's try this new SportsBlog Nation wrinkle:

Which football team was the Pacific's best since Ornauer began covering high school sports in 1982? What set them apart and made them lap the field ahead of any other team or program?

Also, which was the best single-season football team? And which team has risen above the others as the most consistent winning program?

And who do you believe were the best players ever to don a football uniform in the region? Best quarterback? Best running back? Best lineman? Best coverage corners? Best kickers?

We're talking the best in any year from 1982 to the present.

SportsBlog Nation ... feel free to chime in, sound off and be true to your school. Everybody's input will be duly considered along with my own observations, skillfully blended into the bestteams each school can offer since February 1982.

And it doesn't have to be your school. If you feel somebody leaps off the page and merits consideration from halfway across the ocean, don't hesitate to nominate.

We made this work resoundingly in basketball. Let the gridiron debate begin!

C'mon! Let's hear it!
